We are entering a new era, where the opinion of GOP voters is taken into account and currently their opinion is divided. Most of them think that President Donald Trump should remain an example, but the other half thinks that there should be a new person who will run for a new president. Rasmussen Reports has published a new poll that clearly shows the percentage of voters. Based on that, they find on the Internet that 72% of likely Republican voters think their party should look more like Trump than the average GOP member of Congress. Twenty-four percent (24%) consider the average Republican in Congress to be a better role model. (To see the wording of the research question, click here.)

What catches everyone’s attention the most is the fact that most Republicans do more research with Trump than the average GOP member, and that has been the case in recent years.

The survey, conducted by Rasmussen Reports, ran from December 21 to 22, 2020. The survey was conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See the methodology. The poll also found that in previous years, when voting for a president, a large majority of Trump voters said they had voted for the president, while many Biden supporters admitted to voting against Trump instead of the former vice president.

An interesting fact is that everyone has divided and different opinions about running for President. The largest percentage of them think that the Republican Party should look like an average member of the GOP Congress, a position shared by the plurality (48%) of voters who are not affiliated with any of the major parties. The lowest percentage are those who voted for the candidacy of a president who has already run in the past.

America also faces a number of Trump opponents who say he is not their president but surprisingly the same number have the same opinion of Joe Biden.
