GOP lawmaker accuses Trump and “grifters” of pushing electoral challenge to raise funds
Huge tension erupts over GOP lawmaker accusing Trump of pushing for a fundraising election challenge. The indictment was filed by Adam Kinzinger, a Republican in Illinois, for alleged involvement in a large-scale fraud aimed at gaining followers and raising money.
“All this talk about Jan 6th from@realDonaldTrump and other congressional grifters is simply explained: they will raise money and gain followers by blaming everyone else knowing full well they can’t do anything. It’s sad, and an utter scam,” Kinzinger tweeted Saturday.
Namely, the congress should be held on January 6, which coincides with the statement of the GOP MP that the representative Mo Brooks and the senator Tommy Tuberville will challenge the voting at the Electoral College on this date. Their goal is to actually challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election and also to use the 1877 Electoral Count Law.
Both chambers are obliged to agree on this objection in order to dispel the disputed election votes.
There are differing views and opinions on this objection by many Republican lawmakers who believe that this attempt will not be successful at all.
